SPCD Summer Programs in France ▾

The SPCD (Stages Pédagogiques de Courte Durée) program offers funding for a total of 35 American teachers to attend a short summer training in France : 29 positions are offered for teachers of French as a foreign language at CAVILAM French Alliance in the town of Vichy ; and 6 positions for teachers of Dual Language & Immersion programs at CLA (Centre de Langues Appliquées) in the town of Besançon. The Embassy of France in the United States sponsors selected participants to attend these trainings.

In 2019, the Société des Professeurs Français et Francophones d'Amérique (SPFFA) is generously funding 15 additional positions for teachers of French as a foreign language to attend training at CAVILAM French Alliance in Vichy, France. These 15 will supplement the 14 positions offered by the French Embassy, thus increasing the total number of CAVILAM positions to 29 total. The Cultural Services of the French Embassy are grateful to the SPFFA for their generous support.
