Workshop - French DLI focus

The Cultural Service in Atlanta has teamed up with the Georgia Department of Education World Languages and Global Initiatives to organize a workshop dedicated to French DLI programs on Saturday, October 5 at Evansdale Elementary School.

Duration: 9:00 - 12:00

Date and location: Saturday, October 5 - Evansdale Elementary School, 2914 Evans Woods Dr, Doraville, GA, 30340.

Fee: FREE

Public: French DLI teachers, future French DLI teachers, DLI coordinators.

Objectives: This, first of its kind, workshop will be the occasion to discuss challenges and solutions on various topics related to the French DLI programs development. Topics on the program: francophone environment creation; resource use (academic vs. authentic); reading and early literacy strategies; DELF language assessment/ Label FrancEducation; classroom management/transitional activities; extra-curricular activities. 

Format:  Divided into small groups to discuss topics, participants will be encouraged to share the best practices and highlight instructional activities that have worked well for them in the classroom.
